  3. tb Water EXTRACT: Place mushrooms in water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove mushrooms with a slotted spoon and rinse. Chop finely and reserve. Strain extract.

  5. SAUCE: Combine onions, water, tamari, salt, syrup, pepper and rosemary in a saucepan. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.

  6. Remove and discard parsley.

  7. Add extract and chopped mushrooms. Bring to a boil. Add arrowroot, cook and stir till thickened. Taste for seasoning.

  8. Use top rice, potatoes or pasta. —–
