  1. 1 Whole tomatoes - (1 lb.)

  2. 1/2 cup 55g / 1.9oz Celery - chopped

  3. 1/4 cup 36g / 1 1/3oz Green peppers - diced

  4. 1/4 cup 15g / 1/2oz Onion - chopped

  5. 3 tablespoons 45ml Butter

  6. 3/4 lb 340g / 11oz Shrimp - cleaned-split

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Sugar

  8. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Pepper

  9. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  10. 1 Bay leaf

  11. 1 section Parsley

  12. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Worcestershire sauce

  13. 1 1/3 cups 213g / 7 1/2oz Minute rice

  1. Recipe Instructions Drain tomatoes, measuring liquid. Add water to liquid to make 1 1/3 cups. Saute celery, green pepper and onion in butter until lightly browned. Add shrimp, cook until shrimp turns pink. Add liquid, tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper, bay leaf, parsley, Worcestershire sauce. Cover and let simmer 3 minutes. Stir in Minute Rice. Cover and simmer an additional 5 minutes. Remove bay leaf and parsley before serving. Sprinkle with fine chopped parsley as garnish.
