  1. 2 1/2 pounds ground beef

  2. 4 tablespoons olive oil

  3. 2 large onions chopped

  4. 3 large carrots peeled and chopped

  5. 1 cup beef stock or bouillon

  6. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  7. 1/2 cup A 1 sauce

  8. 6 large potatoes boiled and mashed

  9. 1/2 cup heavy cream

  10. salt and pepper to taste

  1. Preheat the oven to 375:. Boil and mash potatoes; heavy cream, butter, salt and pepper to taste. Brown the beef in 2 tablespoons of oil. Remove meat from the pan and set aside. Drain most of the accumulated fat from the pan. Add remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil and saute the onions and carrots till tender. Add beef stock, A1 sauce, garlic powder and beef to the pan and continue cooking at a simmer for 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Transfer all ingredients to a casserole dish and top with mashed potatoes. Bake uncovered for approximately 35 to 45 minutes or until the top is a light golden color and the filling is bubbling at the sides.
