  1. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Apples - soft (preferably Macintosh or Rome)

  2. 2/3 cup 157ml Water

  3. 1/4 cup 59ml Walnut pieces

  4. 23 Up apricot or other preserves

  5. 12 Up sour cream - or plain yogurt

  1. Recipe Instructions Wash the apples in hot water and soap to remove any wax. Cut into quarters. Remove the cores. Put the pieces in a saucepan with the preserves, water, butter and walnuts. Bring to a boil. Cover. Reduce heat. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes or until tender. Cool. Divide among the dessert dishes. Serve cold with a spoonful of sour cream or yogurt on top.
