  1. 3-4 large cooking apples

  2. 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour

  3. 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

  4. cinnamon to taste

  5. 1 9 pie shell

  6. 2 tbsp. lemon juice

  7. 1/2 cup sugar

  8. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  9. 1/2 cup butter

  1. Peel the apples if desired. Quarter than halve the apples to make chunks. In a large bowl combine the apple chunks, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. flour, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Toss to coat the apples. Place the mixture in the pie shell, and pour lemon juice over all. Combine the remaining ingrediants and sprinkle over the apple mixture. Slide the pie into a large paper bag and fold the open end over twice. Fasten with paper clips. Place the bag n a cookie sheet. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 1 hour. Be sure the bag does not touch the heating elements. Slice the bag and cool the pie on a rack.
