  1. 2 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour

  2. 1 tsp. baking soda

  3. 1/2 tsp. salt

  4. 2 cups margarine, softened

  5. 3/4 cup brown sugar

  6. 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  7. 2 large eggs

  8. 1 tsp. water

  9. 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  10. 2 cups dark raisins

  11. 336 g semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Beat margarine in a large bowl until smooth, about 2 minutes. Gradually add both sugars and beat 2 minutes. Beat in eggs, water and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture raisins and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned. Cool cookies 1 to 2 minutes on pans. Transfer cookies to a rack and cool completely.
