  1. 1/2 cup butter, very soft

  2. 3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

  3. 1-1/2 cups flour

  4. 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  5. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  6. 1/8 teaspoon white pepper

  7. 2 tablespoons heavy cream

  1. In large bowl, combine butter and cheese and mix well. Add flour, paprika, salt, pepper, and cream and mix until combined. Place in cookie press fitted with the ribbon disk.

  2. Pipe the dough into long strips onto parchment paper-lined cookie sheets. Or you can pipe into 2" strips. If you pipe into long strips, cut into 2" or 3" pieces.

  3. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Bake the straws for 9-14 minutes until lightly colored. Remove to wire racks to cool. Makes about 50 crackers
