  1. 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  2. 500 g spinach leaves , stalks removed

  3. 350 g new potatoes , par-boiled

  4. 1/4 tsp nutmeg , grated

  5. 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  6. 1 pinches black pepper

  1. Method 1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan and when hot, add the spinach leaves, potatoes, nutmeg, cinnamon and a pinch of salt and pepper.

  2. Stir and fry for about 10 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the spinach has wilted. Serve immediately with chapattis.
