  1. 3 large eggs bitten

  2. 1/2 teaspoon(s) powered cinnamon

  3. 1 can(s) Evaporated Milk , mixed with

  4. 1/2 cup of water

  5. 4 cup(s) shredded french bread , baguettes preferably

  6. 1/4 teaspoon(s) grated nutmeg

  7. 1/4 teaspoon(s) lemon zest , about half a lemon

  8. 8 tablespoon(s) melted butter , cooled

  9. 2 1/2 cup(s) brown sugar

  10. 2 cup(s) raisins

  11. 2 tablespoon(s) Haitian rum , or any other dark rum

  1. in an extra large mixing bowl, sit bread in milk for 5 minutes.

  2. In another large mixing bowl add eggs, cinnamon, lemon zest and nutmeg, 2 cups of the sugar, . Mix together.

  3. Melt butter in a small pan and cool for 2 minutes in the refrigerator or until cool enough in order not to cook eggs. set aside.

  4. Add butter gradually with the egg mixture. Then add raisins and rum. Pour the mixture to the Bread mixture.

  5. Place into a buttered baking pan. Set oven at 350 degrees for 50 mins to an hour.

  6. take out of oven and cool in refrigerator for 30 to 45 minutes.
