  1. SPAGETTI SAUCE ITALIANO

  3. 1 lb ground beef

  4. 1/2 lb Italian sausage, bulk

  5. 1 c onion, chopped

  6. 2 garlic clove, minced

  7. 2 cans tomatoes,

  8. 16 oz, cut-up

  9. 2 cans tomato sauce,

  10. 8 oz

  11. 2 cans mushrooms,

  12. 4 oz, chopped and drained

  13. 1 c green pepper, chopped

  14. 4 tb tapioca, quick-cooking

  15. 2 bay leaves

  16. 1 ts basil, crushed

  17. 1 ts oregano, crushed

  18. 1/4 ts pepper

  19. dash salt

  20. hot cooked spaghetti

  21. In a skillet cook ground beef, sausage, onion, and garlic until

  22. meat is brown and onion is tender, drain off fat.

  23. Meanwhile in crockpot, combine undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce,

  24. mushrooms, green pepper, tapioca, bay leaves, oregano, basil,

  25. pepper, and salt. Stir in browned meat mixture.

  26. Cover, cook on low-heat setting for 10-12 hours or high heat setting

  27. for 5-6 hours. Remove bay leaves. Serve over hot spaghetti.

  28. Makes 8-10 servings.
