  2. MARTHA'S BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE

  7. 1 c Margarine

  8. 2 c Sugar

  9. 4 Eggs

  10. 1 c Buttermilk

  11. 1/2 ts Baking soda

  12. 3 c All purpose flour

  13. 1/4 ts Salt

  14. 2 tb Vanilla extract

  15. 2 tb Lemon extract

  16. 1 t Almond extract

  17. --LEMON GLAZE--

  18. 1 c Powdered sugar

  19. 1/4 c Butter

  20. 1/4 c Lemon juice

  21. **Cake:** Cream margarine and sugar

  22. together until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a

  23. time beating well after each addition. Mix together

  24. the baking soda and buttermilk. Combine flour and salt

  25. and add to creamed mixture 1 cup at a time alternating

  26. with the buttermilk. Beat well after each addition.

  27. 1 hour and 10 inch Bundt pan. Cool

  28. 10 minutes and remove from pan. **Lemon

  29. glaze:** Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and pour over the cake allowing to drip over the edges. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
