  1. 1 package (12 ounces) fettuccine

  2. 3 tablespoons finely chopped onion

  3. 3 tablespoons butter

  4. 2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour

  5. 3 cups heavy whipping cream

  6. 2 cups fresh broccoli florets

  7. 2 cups cubed fully cooked ham

  8. 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided

  9. 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt

  10. 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  11. 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

  12. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour until blended. Gradually stir in cream. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add broccoli. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 7-10 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in the ham, 1/2 cup cheese, garlic salt, pepper, oregano and nutmeg. Drain fettuccine; serve with sauce. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Yield: 6 servings.
