  1. 450g minced beef

  2. 1 onion, chopped

  3. 1 (400g) tin whole plum peeled tomatoes

  4. 425g passata

  5. 1 (410g) tin kidney beans

  6. 350ml water

  7. 1 pinch chilli powder

  8. 1 pinch garlic granules

  9. salt and pepper to taste

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the beef and onion and saute until meat is browned and onion is tender. Add tomatoes with juice, passata, beans and water.

  2. Season with chilli powder, garlic granules, salt and ground black pepper to taste. Bring to the boil, reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 15 minutes.
