  2. 4-1/2 teaspoons white wine vinegar

  3. 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

  4. 2 to 3 garlic cloves, minced

  5. 1 can (2-1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained

  6. 1/2 cup sliced pimiento-stuffed olives

  7. 6 submarine sandwich buns (10 inches), split

  8. 24 thin slices hard salami

  9. 24 slices provolone cheese

  10. 24 thin slices fully cooked ham

  11. Lettuce leaves, optional

  1. Italian Subs Recipe photo by Taste of Home In a small bowl, combine the oil, vinegar, parsley and garlic. Stir in olives. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

  2. Place about 2 tablespoons olive mixture on the bottom of each bun. Top each with four slices of salami, cheese and ham; add lettuce if desired. Replace tops. Yield: 6 servings.
