  1. 2 cups rolled oats (not quick)

  2. 1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour

  3. 1 cup all-purpose white flour

  4. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  5. 1 teaspoon salt

  6. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  7. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  8. 1 cup unsalted butter , softened

  9. 1 cup brown sugar

  10. 1/2 cup white sugar

  11. 2 eggs

  12. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  13. 12 ounces chocolate chips

  1. Combine all of the dry ingredients in a food processor.

  2. Process lightly until mixed thoroughly - you don't want to chop the oats too much.

  3. Cream the butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla in your mixer bowl on medium. Gradually add the dry mixture until blended.

  4. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand.

  5. Bake cookies at 375 degrees until lightly brown around the edges. ?
