  1. 3 lbs. meat, chopped,

  2. 1 1/2 lb, beef suet, chopped,

  3. 6 lbs. apples, chopped,

  4. 3 lbs. raisins, seeded,

  5. 2 lbs. currants,

  6. 1 lb. citron, chopped fine,

  7. 1/2 each of lemon and orange peel

  8. 1 oz. cinnamon, ground,

  9. 1/2 oz. cloves,

  10. 1 nutmeg, grated,

  11. 3 lbs. brown sugar,

  12. 1 qt. boiled cider,

  13. 1 qt. molasses, Salt to taste.

  1. Cook all together 2 hours and seal in glass cans. Mince pies should always be baked with two crusts. Usually made between Thanksgiving and New Year.
