  8. 1 lb Macaroni -- cooked & drained

  9. 8 tb Butter or margarine -- melted

  10. 3 Eggs -- lightly beaten

  11. 1/2 c Grated cheese

  12. 1 1/2 c Feta cheese, cubed

  13. Salt

  14. White pepper

  15. 1 t Nutmeg, grated

  16. 12 Sheets commercial filo

  17. - cut to fit pan,

  18. - covered to avoid drying

  19. In a large bowl, combine the macaroni, one-third of

  20. the melted butter, the eggs, grated cheese, and feta.

  21. Season with salt, white pepper, and nutmeg and mix

  22. with a wooden spoon. In a buttered 9 x 12 x 3-inch

  23. baking pan, spread the macaroni-cheese mixture over

  24. the filo and cover with the 6 remaining sheets of

  25. filo, brushing butter between each and on the surface.

  27. sheets to indicate 12 servings. Bake in a moderate

  28. oven (350 F) for 30 minutes, or until the surface is

  29. crisp. Remove to a rack for 10 minutes, then cut and serve on a warm platter.
