  6. 1 lb Raisins

  7. 8 oz Dry figs

  8. 8 oz Dates, pitted

  9. 1 c Dry prunes, stones removed

  10. 1 Orange, juiced

  11. Rind of 1 orange

  12. 1 c English walnuts, broken

  13. Grind together the fruits and rind of orange.

  14. Blend thoroughly with orange juice and walnut meats.

  15. Shape into balls or flat bars. These candies should be allowed to stand for 24 hours in order to "ripen". Descendants of the pioneers have found

  16. that dipping these fruit candies in milk chocolate makes them exceptionally

  17. tasty, as well as healthful.
