  1. 1 Red cabbage

  2. 1 Scallions

  3. 1 cup 237ml Mayonnaise

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Light brown sugar

  5. 2 tablespoons 30ml Hot chile sesame oil

  6. 1 cup 237ml Peanuts

  7. Salt - to taste

  8. Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

  1. Shred the cabbage. Slice the scallions into 1-inch strips (on the bias).

  2. In a large bowl, mix together with the mayonnaise, sugar and hot oil. Let sit overnight, refrigerated.

  3. Mix in the peanuts and season with salt and pepper before serving.

  4. This recipe yields 8 servings.
