  1. 3 c All-purpose flour*

  2. 1 c Chopped pecans

  3. 5 Eggs

  4. 1 1/2ts Vanilla

  5. 1/2ts Salt

  6. 1 1/2ts Baking powder

  7. 3/4c Milk

  8. 1/2c Shortening

  9. 1/2c Margarine or butter, softene

  10. 2 1/4c Packed brown sugar

  11. 1 tb Powdered sugar

  1. + Directions : *if using self-rising flour omit Baking powder and salt. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 12-cup bundt cake pan. Beat all ingredients except pecans and powder sugar on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on high speed 3 minutes, scraping frequently Stir in pecans. Pour into pan. Bake 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 15 or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 20 minutes Invert onto wire rack and cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered s Serve with Hot Fudge Sauce if desired.
