  1. 4 pork chops **MARINADE**

  2. 2 cloves minced garlic

  3. 1/2 teaspoon white pepper

  4. 2 tablespoons sugar

  5. 2 tablespoons fish sauce -- (nam pla)

  6. 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  7. 1 tablespoon oriental sesame oil

  8. 1 tablespoon cognac -- whiskey or wine

  9. 2 tablespoons chopped lemon grass

  10. 1 tablespoon green onion scallion; or spring onion -- minced

  11. 2 tablespoons coconut milk

  1. Preparation : Broiling over charcoal is a common Thai cooking method which gives meat a distinctive flavor. Boneless pieces of pork threaded onto skewers can be substituted for the chops in a delicious variation of this recipe. Mix marinade ingredients. Marinate pork chops for at least 4 hours. Grill over medium coals until just beyond pinkish. Do not over cook.
