  1. 2 bags (10 oz.) frozen raspberries

  2. 1 bottle cabernet or merlot

  3. 1 cup sugar

  4. juice of half a lemon

  5. 8 whole peppercorn s substitutions

  6. Frozen cherries or blackberries can be substituted for the raspberries, but the peppercorns are a must.

  7. Half the sugar and add sweetener to taste.

  1. Bring to a boil, then simmer until reduced to one third the quantity.

  2. Strain through fine mesh or cheesecloth to remove skins, seeds, and peppercorns.
