  1. 1 head romaine lettuce , chopped bite-sized

  2. 1 head red leaf lettuce , chopped bite-sized

  3. 6 green onions , sliced or chopped

  4. 1 green bell pepper , julienned thinly

  5. 1 red bell pepper , julienned thinly

  6. 1 orange bell pepper , julienned thinly

  7. 1 yellow bell pepper , julienned thinly

  8. 1 (6 ounce) package ocean spray craisins (dried cranberries)

  9. 2 (3 ounce) packages chicken-flavored ramen noodles, broken into small pieces

  10. 1/2 cup butter

  11. 1/2 cup sesame seed

  12. 1/2 cup sliced almonds

  13. 1 cup vegetable oil

  14. 1/3 cup vinegar

  15. 1 teaspoon dry mustard

  16. 1 teaspoon salt

  17. 2/3 cup sugar

  1. In a large bowl combine both heads of lettuce, green onions, bell peppers and cranberries.

  2. Saute ramen noodles, seasonings from packets, sesame seeds and almonds in 1 stick butter. Stir constantly for 2 minutes over medium-low heat. Watch carefully,.

  4. Drain on paper towel. Set aside to cool.

  5. Dressing: (can make ahead).

  6. Put in jar and shake very well to mix.

  7. To serve:.

  8. Toss salad mixture with noodle mixture.

  9. Drizzle dressing over the salad, toss to coat.

  10. Serve immediately.

  11. Serves 12-15.
