  1. 1 pound fresh asparagus

  2. 1 tsp kosher salt

  3. 1/2 tsp onion powder

  4. 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  5. 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  6. 1 Tbsp butter, cut into 8 pieces

  1. Trim tough root ends from asparagus spears, then cut into 2-inch lengths. Place in microwave-safe bowl with a lid. Sprinkle asparagus with kosher salt , onion powder, and garlic powder. Pour in lemon juice and dot with butter.

  2. Cover with lid and microwave on high power for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir to distribute seasonings. Cook another 2 to 3 minutes until asparagus is tender. Stir once more before serving.

  3. Yield: 4 servings
