  1. 2 3/4 cups 171g / 6oz All-purpose flour*

  2. 1/3 cup 78ml Nonfat dry milk powder

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Sugar

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Double-acting baking powder

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  6. 6 tablespoons 90ml Solid vegetable shortening

  1. Recipe Instructions To vary the mix, replace half of the flour with whole-wheat flour or cornmeal. Combine flour, dry milk, sugar, baking powder, salt and shortening in food processor. Pulse until mixture is well blended and smooth. Store in container with tight-fitting cover in cool place for up to 4 weeks. Stir well before using.
