  1. 12 cups 2844ml Cabbage - shredded

  2. 1 Green pepper - chopped

  3. 1 Red onion - chopped (medium)

  4. 2 Carrots - shredded (medium)

  5. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Sugar

  6. Dressing

  7. 2 teaspoons 10ml Sugar

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Dry mustard

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Celery seed

  10. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  11. 1 cup 237ml Vinegar

  12. 3/4 cup 177ml Vegetable oil

  1. In a large bowl, combine first four ingredients.

  2. Sprinkle with sugar; set aside.

  3. In a saucepan, combine dressing ingredients; bring to a boil.

  4. Remove from the heat and pour over vegetables, stirring to cover evenly.

  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

  6. Stir well before serving.
