  1. Lumpia

  2. 1 tablespoon oil

  3. 1 small onion, minced

  4. 3/4 pound ground pork or beef

  5. salt and pepper, to taste

  6. 1 cup string beans, slivered

  7. 1/2 package bean sprouts

  8. 1 small carrot, shredded

  9. 1 package lumpia wrappers

  10. oil, for frying

  11. 1/4 cup soy sauce

  12. 1/4 cup vinegar

  13. 2 green onions, chopped

  14. 2 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds

  15. dash red pepper flakes

  16. 2 cloves garlic, minced

  17. Heat tablespoon of oil in sauce pan. Saute garlic and onion. Add

  18. ground meat, salt and pepper. Brown well; drain off fat. Add

  19. vegetables and stir fry until just tender. Drain and cool. Put 1-2

  20. tablespoons of filling in center of lumpia wrapper. Fold edges

  21. closest to you over filling. Tuck in two ends. Fold like an envelope.

  22. Moisten edges with a little cornstarch mixed with water to seal.

  23. Heat oil to 375-degrees and deep fry until browned. Combine sauce

  24. ingredients and serve.
