  5. Pastry for single-crust pie

  6. 1/2 c Butter

  7. 3 oz Unsweetened chocolate

  8. 4 Eggs

  9. 1 1/2 c Sugar

  10. 3 tb Light corn syrup

  11. 1 ts Vanilla

  12. 1/4 ts Salt

  13. Ice cream

  14. 1. Line 9 pie plate with pastry. Flute edge. Line

  15. 450 for 8 minutes.

  16. Remove foil. Bake 4 - 5 minutes more till crust is set &

  17. dry. When crust is done, reduce oven to 350. Set crust

  18. aside.

  19. 2. In heavy saucepan, melt butter & chocolate together

  20. over low heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat &

  21. cool slightly.

  22. 3. Meanwhile, in large mixing bowl, beat eggs with

  23. electric mixer on medium speed for 4 - 5 minutes till thick

  24. & light-colored. Beat in sugar, corn syrup, vanilla &

  25. salt. Then, beat in chocolate mix.

  26. 4. Pour mix into partially baked pastry. Bake 350 for 35 minutes (center will still be soft). Do Not Overbake!.

  27. Cool. Serve cool or wamr with ice cream Serves 8.

  28. NOTE: For a brownie sundae, serve pie with your choice

  29. of toppers to spoon & sprinkle over the ice cream.
