  1. Crock Pot Stuffed Peppers

  2. 6 green peppers (select tall rather than wide ones)

  3. 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey

  4. 1/3 cup uncooked rice

  5. 1 onion, grated

  6. salt and pepper oregano

  7. parsley

  8. garlic

  9. basil

  10. chili powder

  11. 1 cup tomato sauce

  12. 1 cup water

  13. Cut the top off and remove seeds from peppers. Combine beef, rice,

  14. onion and seasonings.

  15. Stuff each pepper about 2/3 full. Stand the peppers side-by-side

  16. in the slow cooker (you can stack them if you have to).

  17. Combine tomato sauce and water and pour over the peppers: (I

  18. haven't tried it, but you could probably use 2 cups of salsa instead

  19. of the sauce and water).

  20. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. If desired, heat more sauce to serve

  21. with the peppers.
