  1. 1 tablespoon 15ml Olive oil

  2. Salt - to taste

  3. Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste

  4. 4 Churrascos, strip steaks - (6 oz ea)

  5. 1 Spanish onion - sliced julienne

  6. 1 Lime - juice only

  7. 1 Cuban bread or wide baguette - sliced in half (large)

  8. 2 tablespoons 30ml Mayonnaise

  9. 1 Beefsteak tomato - sliced thinly

  10. 2 cups 474ml Julienned iceberg lettuce

  11. 1 cup 237ml Canned shoestring potatoes

  1. On a griddle or saute pan, heat oil on medium-high heat. Season steak and saute for 6 to 8 minutes flipping constantly. Add the onion the last minute of cooking into the same pan. Add lime juice and remove from the heat.

  2. Split the bread lengthwise and cut into 4 pieces. Coat bread pieces with mayonnaise on the top side. On the bottom side, layer tomatoes, lettuce, steak, onions, and shoestring potatoes. Serve hot.

  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
