  2. 19 to 21 ounce package brownie mix

  3. 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened

  4. 1/3 cup sugar

  5. 1 large egg

  6. 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease the inside of a 13x9 inch baking pan. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan. Place the cream cheese in a medium bowl and beat until creamy. Mix in the sugar, egg and vanilla. Drop tablespoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter and swirl in with the tip of a knife. Bake the brownies about 35 to 40 minutes until the cream cheese is lightly browned. Transfer the pan to a rack and cool the brownies completely before cutting into squares. Store the brownies refrigerated in an airtight container.
