  4. CROCKPOT MEATLOAF

  5. (Makes 6 servings)

  6. 1/2 cup whole milk

  7. 2 slices white bread

  8. 1 1/2 lb ground beef

  9. 2 eggs

  10. 1 small onion, peeled

  11. 1 1/2 tsp salt

  12. 1/2 tsp pepper

  13. 1 tsp dry mustard

  14. 1 can (12 oz.) whole tomatoes

  15. Place the milk and the bread in a large mixing bowl, and let stand until

  16. the bread has adsorbed all the milk. With two forks, break the bread

  17. into crumbs. Beat the ground beef into the crumbs until well mixed. make a hollow in the center of the meat and break the eggs into it. Beat the eggs a little; then grate the onions into the eggs. Add salt,

  18. pepper and mustard. Beat the eggs into the beef. Shape into a round

  19. cake and place in the slow cooker. Drain the tomatoes, and place them

  20. 5 to 7 hours. Before serving, uncover the pot; turn the heat to High, and bubble away

  21. some of the sauce. It should be thick, not thin. %%

  25. DAVE'S MEAT LOAF

  26. 1 lb extra lean ground beef

  27. 1/4 lb sausage meat

  28. 1/4 cup dark beer

  29. 1 egg

  30. 2 slices of bread torn into soft crumbs

  31. 1 onion, chopped

  32. 3 tblsp chopped parsley

  33. 1/2 tsp ground black pepper few drops Worcestershire sauce and tabasco sauce

  34. Combine all ingredients and gently shape into a round loaf. Place on a

  35. 7 to 8 hours. Serve

  36. with tomato sauce or chilli sauce. Chill leftovers and slice for sandwiches the next day. %%

  40. Ingredients: --

  41. 2 1/2 lbs ground beef

  42. 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  43. 3 tsp oregano

  44. 1/2 cup fine cracker crumbs

  45. 2 cloves crushed garlic

  46. 1/2 small onion (grated)

  47. 2 tsp italian seasoning

  48. 1/2 tsp basil

  49. 1 1/2 tsp dry mustard

  50. 1/2 tsp cumin

  51. 1 tsp soya sauce

  52. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  53. Instructions: --

  54. You may adjust the spices to taste...up the cayenne pepper to really

  55. spice it up. Mix all spices and cracker crumbs in bowl or bag. Add to meat and 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Cool and slice thin. Sauce: --

  56. 2/3 cup can milk

  57. 2/3 cup white sugar

  58. 1/4 cup vinegar

  59. cornstarch

  60. Mix 1/4 cup vinegar and cornstarch. Add to milk and sugar. Heat 'til

  61. thick. %%
