  4. Cloves and cinnamon (whole)

  5. 6 c Sugar

  6. 1 c Vinegar

  1. COVER 3 quarts figs with 2 quarts boiling water and allow to stand 5minutes. Make syrup out of above ingredents (spices should be in a bagmade of cheesecloth. Drain figs. Boil in syrup 3 consecutive days 10minutes each day, then pack into jars to within 1/4 inch of top. Put oncap, screw band firmly tight. Process in boiling water bath 10 minutes.
