  1. 3/4 cup minced onion

  2. 1 1/2 cups chopped celery

  3. 3/4 cup butter or margarine

  4. 8 cups soft bread cubes

  5. 1 1/2 tsp. dried sage leaves

  6. 1 tsp. dried thyme, crumbled

  7. 1/2 tsp. pepper

  8. 2 tsp. salt

  9. 2 cups chopped pecans

  1. Heat butter or margarine in a large skillet. Add onion and celery and cook until onion is softened, about 8 to 10 minutes. Combine bread cubes, sage, thyme, pepper, salt and pecans in a large bowl. Pour onion mixture over and toss to mix.
