  1. 1 1/2 lbs 681g / 24oz Ground beef

  2. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Onion - diced (medium)

  3. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Celery stalk - diced (medium)

  4. 32 oz 909g Tomato sauce

  5. 4 oz 113g Mushrooms - sliced

  6. 1/2 cup 118ml Water

  7. 3/4 teaspoon 3.8ml Salt

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Sugar

  9. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Pepper

  10. 3 teaspoons 15ml Potatoes - thinly sliced (medium)

  11. 4 oz 113g Mozzarella cheese - shredded

  1. Recipe Instructions Cook beef , onion, and celery until browned. Stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms, water, salt, sugar and pepper. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Into a 9x13-inch baking dish, spoon 1/3 of beef mixture. Arrange 1/2 of potato slices on top. Repeat, ending with ground beef mixture. Cover dish with foil. Bake in 375F oven for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Remove from oven. Discard foil. Sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven just until cheese melts.
