  1. 4 cups all-purpose flour

  2. 2 teaspoon active dry yeast

  3. 2 eggs

  4. 1 1/2 cup water

  5. 1 teaspoon salt

  6. 1 tablespoon raisins

  1. Combine all ingredients. Cover and let stand in a warm place until doubled in bulk. Beat down, and let rise until doubled again. Take dough and shape as you like. Drop into the hot oil (190 C; 375 F) a few at a time. Fry until golden brown, about 3 or 4 minutes. Place onto a baking pan lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
