"ROVER BONES"

  1. 1 Cup whole wheat flour

  2. 1 Cup pastry flour

  3. 1/2 Cup stoneground cornmeal

  4. 1 tsp. salt

  5. 2 tsp. bonemeal

  6. 3 T. vege oil

  7. 1/2 Cup chunky peanut butter

  8. 1/3 Cup sunflower seeds

  9. 2 large eggs

  10. 1/4 Cup or more as needed meat drippings Egg

  1. Combine all ingredients except for the egg wash. Add more drippings if the mix is too dry. You may use low sodium broth and add cooked rice if you dog has special needs. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Using Hammer Song's dog bone cutter, make 2 dozen cutouts. Brush the cutouts with an egg wash-1 egg yolk mixed with 1 T. water-then bake. (You may need a toothpick to remove the cutout from the cutter, since they are thick-I like them that way)
