  1. 1 Pound small mushrooms

  2. 1 Egg, beaten

  3. 1/2c Dry bread crumbs

  4. 1/3c Margarine or butter

  5. 1 md Onion, chopped

  6. (about 1/2 cup)

  1. + Prepare whole mushrooms as directed.

  2. Dip mushrooms into egg, then coat with bread crumbs.

  3. Heat margarine in 12-inch skillet over medium heat until hot.

  4. Cook mushrooms and onions in margarine 7 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until mushrooms are tender and golden brown.

  5. Drain on paper towels.

  6. SERVINGS; 240 CALORIES PER SERVING.
