  1. 1/4 C flour

  2. 3/4 C sugar

  3. 3/4 C butter

  4. 1/2 tsp baking powder

  5. 1/2 tsp baking soda

  6. 1/4 tsp salt

  7. 3/4 C sour cream (can use non-fat)

  8. 1 tbsp almond extract

  9. 8 oz cream cheese softened

  10. 1/4 C sugar

  11. 1 large egg

  12. 1 cup apricot or raspberry jam

  1. Mix together like pie crust 2-1/4 cup flour, 3/4 cup sugar and 3/4 cup butter. Reserve 1 cup of mixture.

  2. Mix all together with remaining flour mixture above the baking powder, baking soda, salt, sour cream, egg and almond extract.

  3. In a separate bowl mix the cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and egg.

  4. Grease and flour 9 or 10 inch round springform pan.

  5. Put cake mixure in pan.

  6. Put cream cheese mixture on top of cake mixture not quite to the edge.

  7. Stir jam in a bowl to soften or microwave for about 1 minute to soften, spoon on top of cream cheese mixture.

  8. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture on top then sprinkle with sliced almonds.

  9. Bake 350° - 45 to 55 minutes Do not overbake or it will come out dry.
