    1. 2 1/2 c Sugar

    2. 1 c Shortening or 2 sticks oleo

    3. 2 Eggs

    4. 2 1/2 c Flour (packed)

    5. 1/2 c Cocoa

    6. 1/2 ts Salt

    7. 1 c Buttermilk

    8. 1 c Boiling water

    9. 2 Scant tsp. soda

    10. 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Bake at
