  8. 1/2 c sugar

  9. pinch salt

  10. 1 tbsp cornstarch

  11. 1 c water or apple juice

  12. 2 tbsp butter

  13. 1 tbsp vanilla

  14. pinch nutmeg

  15. Mix the sugar, salt and cornstarch. Add the water or apple juice. Stirring

  16. constantly, cook over medium heat, until thick and clear. Add the butter,
