  2. Title: Linguine with Crab and Mushrooms

  5. 1/2 c Chicken broth or -clam juice

  6. 1/4 c White wine

  7. 1/2 ts Turmeric

  8. 8 oz Mshrooms; sliced*

  9. 1 tb Tomato paste

  10. 2 ts Tarragon; fresh,

  11. -or 3/4 ts dried

  12. 1 ts Olive oil

  13. 2 ea Green onions; thinly sliced

  14. 8 oz Krabmeat; in bite-size

  15. 8 oz Linguine;

  16. Combine chicken broth, wine and tumeric in small

  17. bowl. Heat oil in heavy medium skillet over medium

  18. heat. Add mushrooms, sprinkle with salt and pepper

  19. and cook until beginning to soften, about 3 minutes.

  20. Add the green onions and 1 tablespoon tomato paste and stir to blend. Add broth mixture and simmer 2 minutes.

  21. Add Krab and tarragon and stir until heated through.

  22. Season with salt and pepper.

  23. Meanwhile, cook linguine in large pot of boiling

  24. salted water until just tender but still firm to bite,

  25. stirring occasionally. Drain well.

  26. Return pasta to same pot. Add sauce and toss to

  27. coat. Divide pasta between 2 plates. Sprinkle with

  28. remaining green onions and serve. Serves 2, can be

  29. doubled or tripled.

  30. any type of mushroom may be used. It is very good

  31. with fresh shitaki but works just fine with white

  32. buttons. --
