  1. 1 lime

  2. 2 medium tomatoes , finely chopped

  3. 1 medium jalapeño chile , seeded and finely chopped

  4. 1/2 small red onion , chopped

  5. 1/4 avocado , peeled and cut into 1/4-inch pieces

  6. 2 tablespoon(s) chopped fresh parsley leaves

  7. 1 tablespoon(s) red wine vinegar

  8. 1/4 teaspoon(s) ground cumin

  9. Cut-up fresh vegetables , such as cauliflower, celery, and cucumber

  10. Whole wheat pita triangles*

  1. From lime, grate 2 teaspoons peel and squeeze 1 teaspoon juice.

  2. In medium serving bowl, combine tomatoes, jalapeño, onion, avocado, parsley, vinegar, cumin, and lime peel and juice. Let stand at room temperature 15 minutes. Serve salsa with vegetables and pita triangles.

  3. Tips & Techniques *To make pita triangles: Split each pita horizontally in half; cut each half into triangles. Bake triangles on cookie sheet in preheated 350 degrees F oven 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
