When mixture starts to clump, and before it turns into a ball stop stirring and press into a deep 9" pie plate. Mix flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and sugar. Add to apples, mix, and place into pie crust. Mix topping ingredients in a small bowl until crumbly. Crumble over top of apples. Bake at 425* for 40 minutes. Place aluminum foil over top and cook an additional 10 minutes. Yield: serves 8 Notes: Though great all on its own, this dessert is extra delicious served warm with a scoop of french vanilla or butter pecan ice cream.
