  1. 1/2 cup butter , softened

  2. 3/4 cup sugar

  3. 1 egg

  4. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  5. 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

  6. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  8. 2 (2 1/8 ounce) baby ruth candy bars, chopped

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.

  3. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.

  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; add to the creamed mixture.

  5. Stir in candy bars.

  6. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

  7. Bake for 10 minute at 350°F or until edges are lightly browned.

  8. Immediately remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
