  7. 1/2 c Golden crisco shortening

  8. 1/2 c Granulated sugar

  9. 1 tb Milk

  10. 1 Egg yolk

  11. 1 Unsweetened chocolate square

  12. 1 oz

  13. 1 c All-purpose flour

  14. 1/4 ts Salt

  15. 1/3 c Miniature semi-sweet

  16. -chocolate chips

  17. Peanut butter cream filling:

  18. 2 tb Golden crisco shortening

  19. 1/3 c Creamy peanut butter

  20. 1 c Icing sugar

  21. 2 tb Milk

  22. 1/2 ts Vanilla

  23. 1. Heat oven to 350F (180C). Grease baking sheet with

  24. Golden Crisco Shortening. Set aside.

  25. 2. Combine Golden Crisco Shortening, granulated sugar,

  26. milk, vanilla and egg yolk. Beat at medium speed of

  27. electric mixer until well blended. Add melted chocolate.

  28. Mix well.

  29. 3. Combine flour and salt. Add to chocolate mixture. Mix

  30. until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Form dough into l-inch (2 1/2 cm) balls. Place 2 inches (5 cm) apart on

  31. baking sheet. Press thumb gently in center of each cookie.

  32. 4. Bake at 350F (180C) for 8 minutes. Repress centers

  33. after baking. Remove to cooling rack. Cool completely. Fill

  34. center with Peanut Butter Cream Filling.

  35. Peanut Butter Cream Filling:

  36. 1. Combine Golden Crisco Shortening and peanut butter in

  37. 2. Stir with spoon until blended. Add

  38. 1 cup (250 mL) icing

  39. sugar. Stir well.

  40. 3. Add milk and vanilla. Stir until smooth.

  41. 4. Fill cooled thumbprint cookies.

  42. 2 1/2 dozen

  43. 2 inch (5 cm) cookies. Preparation Time :

  44. 25 minutes. Baking Time:
