  1. 1 Butter

  2. 4 oz 113g -- (4 sq) unsweetened

  3. Chocolate

  4. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  5. 6 tablespoons 90ml Butter

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla

  7. 2 Eggs

  8. 1/2 cup 73g / 2.6oz Chopped pecans/walnuts

  9. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Sugar

  10. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz All purpose flour (sifted)

  11. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Baking powder

  1. Line an 8 x 8 glass baking dish with buttered wax paper. Break chocolate into small pieces and place in a bowl with the butter.

  2. Cook in microwave on high for 3 minutes, until the chocolate has completely melted.

  3. Beat eggs and sugar together until creamy. Sift flour with salt and baking powder.

  4. Stir all ingredients together. Spread mixture evenly into baking dish.

  5. Cook for 8-1/2 minutes, rotating dish 1/4 of a turn thrice during cooking period. Cool brownies in the dish.

  6. Remove paper and cut brownies into squares.

  7. Servings: 16
