  1. 8 Slices of bacon

  2. 1 Large onion , chopped

  3. 4 Cups water

  4. 4 Cups peeled, diced thin skinned potato es

  5. 2 Cans (1lb each) cream style corn

  6. 4 Cups milk or 2 cups each, milk and half & half

  7. 2 Tablespoons butter

  1. In a 5 quart pan, cook bacon over medium heat. Remove from pan, drain, crumble, and set aside; discard all but 2 tablespoons of drippings. Add onion to drippings in pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft. add water, potatoes, and corn. Bring to boil over high heat; reduce heat, cover, and simmer until potatoes are tender (about 20 minutes). Stir in milk and season with salt and pepper. Heat until steaming, then stir in butter. Garnish with bacon.
