  3. 1 tablespoon sugar

  4. 1/2 cup butter, melted

  5. 4 cups sifted flour

  6. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  8. 1 cup almonds, chopped

  1. Instructions Dissolve yeast and one tablespoon sugar in lukewarm milk. Add butter and unbeaten eggs. Gradually add the flour and the salt, beating thoroughly. This mixture should be thick but not stiff enough to handle. Cover and let rise in a warm place for one and one-half hours or until light. Sprinkle remainder of sugar and almonds over the top. Mix very lightly and drop into well-greased muffin pans. Cover and let rise until light, which should be in about one-half hour. Bake 15-20 minutes at 400 degrees. These buns should be rough in appearance. .
