    1. 1 cup shortening

    3. 1/2 cups sugar

    4. 2 egg s

    5. 2 

    6. 1/2 cups flour

    7. 1/2 teaspoons salt

    8. 1 teaspoon soda

    9. 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

    10. 1 tablespoon sugar

    11. 1 tablespoon cinnamon

    1. Mix together shortening and sugar. Mix in eggs. Sift together the flour, salt, soda, and cream of tartar. Stir into creamed mixture. Stir together the 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and roll each in the cinnamon/sugar mixture until coated. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. For variety, add 1 cup raisins to dough.
